Inserting the Zip

So, I finally have both of my pin-tuck panels finished and ready for when I make up my dress, so whats next? Well I have to insert the invisible zip into the centre back panels; it has been ages since I have used this type of zip so it took a while to remember how to do it.

 When I had inserted the zip the next step was to close the rest of the gap between the two centre back panels and hand tack the slit.

I like how the zip gives a neat and delicate effect and the use of hand tacking gives the dress the small details that make this dress fit into the couture market.
